昭和二十二年夏、敗戦による混乱のおさまらぬ時に流行作家の望月王仁は、Ｎ県きっての財閥・歌川多門の豪邸で殺された。その時、多門の家には二十九人に及ぶ男女がいた。兇器の短刃からは、二人の女の指紋が発見され、もう一人の女のものと思われる小さな鈴が、害者のベットの下から発見。女中も含めた、二十九人の内、十人は、多門の息子の一馬によって招待された人々で、戦争中の数年間、歌川家に疎開していた人々であった。そして、そこでは一般の人々の想像を絶するような、男女の淫乱な生活が繰りひろげられていたのである。そして、それにも輪をかけてひどいのが、歌川家の複雑な血縁関係であった...
